SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has picked Potsdam teammates Cam Talcott and Ben Fuchs as its Men's Lacrosse Athlete and Goalie of the Week respectively.
Talcott's 11 points on nine goals and two assists helped the Bears to two crucial SUNYAC wins this week. He had four goals and two assists for a personal best six points in Monday's victory over New Paltz. He scored five more goals in Friday's win over Plattsburgh to help the Bears to their first win over the Cardinals in seven years.
Fuchs was 2-0, both conference wins this week, with 21 saves, 13 goals allowed for a .618 save percentage and a 6.84 goals-against average. He stopped 10 shots in a 15-8 win over New Paltz on Monday. On Friday, he made 11 saves and allowed just five goals to lead the Bears to their first victory over Plattsburgh in seven seasons.
