Ormsby, Bentham named SUNYAC Men's Soccer Athletes of the Week

CORTLAND, N.Y. – The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected Cortland forward, Migell Ormsby (Kingston, JA), as the Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week and Fredonia goalie, Ty Bentham (Colombus, IN), as the Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week.

In a pair of conference wins for the 19th ranked Red Dragons, Omrsby tallied five points on two goals and one assist to earn the award for the second time this season. In a 2-1 victory over Geneseo, Ormsby assisted on the game winning goal and scored twice in their 4-1 win against Brockport. Ormsby leads Cortland with twenty points for the season on nine goals and two assists.

Bentham came up huge for Fredonia, saving all sixteen shots he faced, as the Blue Devils went 1-0-1 in overtime contests against Potsdam and Plattsburgh. In almost 205 total minutes in net, the sophomore recorded eight saves in their victory at Potsdam and added another eight in the 0-0 game at Plattsburgh, which included a clutch diving save in the final seconds of overtime to keep the game tied up.
