Nearly two minutes later, Cortland struck back with a goal of their own when Ormsby received a pass from Eli Yasuna (Sherborn, MA/Dover-Sherborn) and sent a one-time shot into the back of Newbury's goal, giving the Red Dragon's a 2-1 lead.

Cortland cemented their lead in the 81st minute with Jake Keller's second goal of the game, a one-time shot following a pass from Sam Fuller (Liverpool).
