Oneonta's Hernandez and Oswego's Terra take this Week's PrestoSports Men's Soccer Awards

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) selects Witman Hernandez (Huntington, N.Y.) from Oneonta and Brian Terra (Bay Shore, N.Y.) from Oswego as this week's PrestoSports Men's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week respectively.

Hernandez had another outstanding week up front leading Oneonta to a pair of victories. Hernandez tallied three goals and one assist for the week in wins against Hamitlon and New Paltz. He registered both game-winning goals including the winner in the 85th minute to lift Oneonta past New Paltz in its SUNYAC opener. Hernandez's two goals and one assist versus Hamilton gave him 101 career points becoming only the fifth player in the nearly 65-year history of the program to surpass this milestone.

Terra stopped 10 shots in two shutouts en route to Oswego's first 2-0 start in SUNYAC play since 2006. The junior saved three on-goal attempts from Geneseo on Friday, allowing the Lakers to beat the Knights for the first time since 2014 and the first time at home since 2002. On Saturday, Terra made seven saves against reigning SUNYAC champion Brockport, including a highlight save in the final six minutes to preserve the shutout and lead. It was Oswego's first victory at home over the Golden Eagles since 2000. Terra currently leads the SUNYAC with five shutouts on the year and has recorded a shutout in each of his last three games. This is Terra's third straight week being honored as the SUNYAC Men's Soccer Defensive Athelte of the Week.
