CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has named Cortland's Nick Galeto (West Islip, NY/West Islip HS) as the Men's Swimmer of the Week, and Fredonia's Christian Krasnek (Springville, NY/Springville Griffith Institute) as the Diver of the Week,
Galeto, the Red Dragon junior, played a part in five winning relays during the Cortland Pumpkin Relays over the weekend. He swam legs on the 400-yard medley relay (55.58 backstroke leg), the 3x100-yard backstroke relay (55.12 anchor leg), the 3x100-yard individual medley relay (58.09 anchor leg), the 200-yard freestyle relay (22.39 leg), and the 200-yard medley relay (25.71 backstroke leg). Galeto helped Cortland to a first place finish at the relays.
Krasnek, had a good weekend during the Fredonia quad meet, winning the 3-meter springboard and placing second in the 1-meter springboard. His score of 304.80 points on the 3-meter springboard was a NCAA zone qualifier. The junior finished the 1-meter springboard with a score of 256.40 points.
