CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has named Nick Galeto (West Islip, N.Y. / West Islip) the Men's Swimmer of the Week and Corey Wirth (Lima, N.Y. / Honeoye Falls-Lima) the Diver of the week for performances during the week of November 26 - December 2.
Cortland's Galeto earned three top-three finishes to help Cortland finish second as a team at the Hamilton Invitational. He won the 100-yard backstroke (54.53), was second in the 200-yard backstroke (2:00.95) and placed third in the 500-yard freestyle (5:00.25). In addition, Galeto led off two runner-up relay teams.
Geneseo battled NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III competition at the Ithaca Winter Invitational as Wirth finished fifth in both diving events, scoring 429.45 in the 1-meter and 422.50 off the 3-meter board.
