SUNYAC selects Men's Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Confernce (SUNYAC) has selected Geneseo junior Mitchell Phelps (Owego, N.Y.) as the Men's Swimmer of the Week and Geneseo freshman Corey Wirth (Lima, N.Y) as the Men's Diver of the Week. 

In Geneseo's win against No. 16 Case Western Reserve on Monday (165-135) Phelps came in first place in the 200m fly (1:58.71) and in the 100m fly (52.46). He also led the 400m medley relay, which won first place (3:33.13). In the win against Rochester on Friday (181-112) Phelps came in first place in the 200m free (1:45.89) and in the 200m backstroke (1:55.66). He once again led his team to a win in the 200m medley relay (1:36.28).

Wirth scored 290.62 in the one-meter and 291.30 in the three-meter on Monday against No. 16 Case Western Reserve. On Friday against Rochester, Wirth had an 11-dive score of 492.80 in the one-meter and 547.40 in the three-meter.
