PrestoSports Men's Swimming and Diving Awards Released

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Agthletic Conference (SUNYAC) announces this week's recipients of the PrestoSports Men's Swimmer and Diver of the Week. Buffalo State's Cody Wittmeyer (Hamburg, N.Y.) and Geneseo's Corey Wirth (Lima, N.Y.) earned these rewards respectively.

Wittmeyer broke the Kissinger Pool record in the 100 fly with a winning time of 51.45 more than a second faster than the previous record that stood since 1998. He also won the 50 free (21.93), the 100 free (48.95), and was part of the winning 400 free relay (3:23.12) in a dual meet against Brockport.

Wirth swept the diving events as the Knights defeated Rochester in a dual meet Friday. He scored 542.77 off the 3 meter board to take first place and scored 495.14 off the 1 meter board to take first as well.
