Oneonta and Cortland earn this week's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors

CORTLAND, NY - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected Oneonta's Tyler O'Bryant (Ellenville, N.Y.) as this week's indoor track and field track Athlete of the Week, and Cortland's Dawan Jones (Buffalo, N.Y.) as this week's indoor track and field field Athlete of the Week.

O'Bryant was the top performer for the men this past Saturday at the Ithaca Quad Invitational. The junior continued his winning ways in the 60-meter dash running a personal best time of 6.96 seconds to win the event by more than one-tenth of a second. His time in the event currently has him tenth overall in NCAA Division III.

The Oneonta Red Dragons will compete this weekend in the Terrier Invitational at Boston University.

Jones finished second in the long jump at 6.96 meters (22' 10") and fourth in the triple jump at 13.81 meters (45' 3.75") at the Cornell University Upstate Challenge. Cortland was the lone Division III school in the otherwise Division I field. Both of Jones' performances are Atlantic Regional qualifiers. The senior currently ranks 13th nationally in the long jump with his performance for the weekend, and ranks third nationally in the triple jump from an effort earlier this season.

Cortland will compete this weekend in the Cornell Kane Invitational at Cornell University.
