SUNYAC announces this week's Mens Track and Field Athletes of the Week

CORTLAND, NY – This week, The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected Oneonta's Tyler O'Bryant as this week's Men's Track and Field Track Athlete of the Week, and Cortland's Brent DiVittorio as this week's Field Athlete of the Week.  

O'Bryant continued his winning ways in the 60-meter dash this weekend at the Bomber Invitational hosted by Ithaca College. O'Bryant has not lost the event in the 2018 and won for a third straight week crossing the line in 6.89 seconds nearly two-tenths of a second ahead of the second place finisher. O'Bryant's time of 6.89 seconds was a personal best time for the event and currently has him at No.5 in NCAA Division III.

DiVittorio finished first out of 29 competitors in the heptathlon at the Ithaca College Bomber Invitational and Multi Saturday and Sunday. He recorded a personal-best score of 4,987 points that currently ranks third nationally in Division III and first in the Atlantic Region. An All-American last season, DiVittorio eclipsed his score of 4,919 points from last year's nationals. He scored 879 points in the 60-meter hurdles (8.42), 789 points in the 60-meter dash (7.27), 771 points in the long jump (6.82 meters/22' 4.5") and 758 points in the high jump (1.95 meters/6' 4.75").
