SUNYAC Releases Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week

CORTLAND, NY – The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected this weeks, Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week. Micheal Outing from Cortland was selected for the Track Athlete of the Week and Kyle Cohen from Brockport was selected for the Field Athlete of the Week.

Outing finished first out of 27 competitors in the 60-meter hurdles at the Cornell Sunday Invitational. His winning time of 8.26 seconds currently ranks 14th nationally in Division III, but he already ranks sixth nationally from a performance earlier in the season. In addition, Outing placed 13th of 42 in the 200-meter dash in 24.00 seconds.

Cohen moved to fifth in the country after taking first place in pole vault on Thursday. Cohen came in at 4.63m and cleared the bar in his second attempt. Afterwards, he vaulted over bars set at 4.73m, 4.88m and finally 4.93m in his first attempts.
