CORTLAND, N.Y. - This State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men's Track and Field Senior Spotlight is on Brockport's Anthony DeYoung.
DeYoung, who was recently honored on the SUNYAC All-Decade team, holds the conference and meet records in the shot put with a distance of 17.86 meters (2020). He was a 2020 NCAA indoor All-American in the shot put and headed to the 2020 indoor nationals as the top ranked shot putter in the country before the championships were canceled due to COVID. He is a two-time national qualifier for Brockport. He is now a three-time SUNYAC Championship Field Athlete of the Meet after winning the honor at the 2020 indoor, 2019 outdoor and 2018 outdoor championship meets.
