SUNYAC announces Men’s Track and Field Athlete of the Week

CORTLAND, N.Y.  The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected the top Men's Track and Field Athletes of the Week. The winners were selected from top nominations made by conference members.

This week's Track Athlete of the Week is a junior from Plattsburgh. Brian Fabian won the 800-meter in a time of 2:00.13 at the Saints Twilight Invitational hosted by St. Lawrence on Saturday. Fabian was the lead off for the 4x100-meter relay that won the race in a time of 44.58.

For this week's Field Athlete of the week plays for Brockport. Anthony DeYoung kicked off the week of competition by participating in the shot put in the Penn Relays. The thrower placed 21st in the event after tossing a mark of 15.45m. DeYoung followed up that performance with a first place finish in shot put in the Cardinal Classic, using a throw of 15.24m to reach the achievement.
