SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) recognizes Geneseo's Ezra Ruggles as the Men's Track Athlete of the Week and Brockport's Egypt Page as the Field Athlete of the Week.
Ruggles set the tone for the Knights at the St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic with a facility record in the 3000 steeplechase. Ruggles crossed the finish line in 9:19.75 for the seventh-fastest time in NCAA Division III so far this season.
Page won the men's long jump at St. John Fisher's Cardinal Classic on Friday with a season-best leap of 7.30m which currently ranks No. 4 on the national outdoor qualifying list. He also won the men's 100m dash event with a time of 11.15 and he was a part of the 4x100m relay team which won the relay with a season best time of 42.22. Their time in the 4x100m relay currently ranks 29th nationally.
