CORTLAND, N.Y. - Fredonia senior, Ethan Francis was selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference's (SUNYAC) first Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the 2018 season.
Francis won his first collegiate cross country race, finishing 26.3 seconds ahead of the nearest competitor at Saturday's Fredonia Invitational. Francis covered the 6,000-meters in 19:47. Runners from Fredonia, Brockport, Cortland, and Oswego competed. Francis is a graduate of Dunkirk High School.
