CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) weekly Men's Cross Country Senior Spotlight is on Fredonia's Matthew Erman.
Erman, from East Meadow, N.Y., is coming off a 2019 cross country season which saw him run personal-bests for 6,000 meters at the Fredonia State Invitational and for 8,000 meters at the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble. He later represented the Blue Devils at the SUNYAC championship meet and, for the first time, at the NCAA Atlantic Regional meet. Matt's academics as a dual major -- music education and jazz studies -- have resulted in seven appearances on the Fredonia dean's list. In addition, he is a member of the Fredonia State New Jazz Ensemble, winners of a Downbeat Award.
