The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected Geneseo's Isaac Garcia-Cassani (Holbrook, N.Y.) as this week's Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week. This is the second time this season that the conference has honored him with this award.

Garcia-Cassani finished first out of 354 runners to lead No. 2 Geneseo to second place out of 38 teams at the Cowbell Classic, hosted by Principia (Ill.), Saturday. The field included 18 teams ranked in the top-30 of the most recent national polls, including six of the top-10 squads. Garcia-Cassani covered the 8-kilometer course with a winning time of 24:41.02, edging runner-up Dhruvil Patel from North Central by .95 of a second. The course will be the site of the NCAA Division III Championships next month.
