SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) softball semifinals are set with Cortland hosting Buffalo State and Geneseo hosting Oneonta, Saturday, May 8 in a best-of-three series starting at 11 a.m. The second game is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. while the third game, if necessary, will be at 4 p.m.
Cortland earned the top seed in the East division finishing 11-3 while Geneseo clinched the first spot in the West division, 10-6 to earn hosting rights. Cortland won the SUNYAC softball crown in 2019 and leads the league with 16 overall titles. Buffalo State and Oneonta look to capture their fourth conference championship in program history while Geneseo will play to win its second title.
The championship series is scheduled for Saturday, May 15. If Cortland advances they will host the championship. If Cortland does not advance and Geneseo does, they will host. If the top two teams don't move on Oneonta will host. Game times will be 11 a.m, 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.
