CORTLAND, NY - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected Brockport's Lindsey Johnson (Waterloo, NY) as the first Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the 2017-18 season.
Johnson helped lead Brockport to a 2-0 record this past weekend with wins over Alfred University and Hartwick. On Friday, the Eagles defeated the Saxons 83-64, and Johnson posted a double-double with 19-points off a perfect nine-for-nine from the field, while grabbing 12 rebounds. In Saturday's 55-43 victory over Hartwick, the senior forward followed it up with another double-double, contributing 12 points and 10 rebounds. Overall, Johnson posted an impressive 83.3 shooting percentage on the weekend. The Eagles will look to extend their winning streak to three this Tuesday as they face RIT in a non-conference matchup on the road.
