CORTLAND, N.Y.- The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected the winner for Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week. This week's winner was chosen out of nominations from across the conference.
This week's winner is the junior McKenna Brooks (Oswego, N.Y ) from Geneseo. This is Brooks second Athlete of the Week award this year. On Tuesday, Brooks scored 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to go with four steals and two blocks. Against Buffalo State on Friday, she scored 15, including an 11-for-11 performance from the foul line, and pulled seven rebounds with six steals. On Saturday at Fredonia, Brooks scored 12 points, grabbed six boards, and swiped four steals to lead the Knights to a 12th-consecutive win. This week the Knight's added three more win's in SUNYAC play to stay unbeaten in conference play.
