SUNYAC selects Johnson as Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected the winner for Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week. This week's winner was chosen out of nominations from across the conference.

For the second straight week, Lindsay Johnson, a senior from Brockport, has been selected as SUNYAC's Athlete of the Week. The 6'0 forward averaged a double-double in Brockport's weekend split against Oswego and Cortland. Johnson averaged 17.5 points-per-game, while pulling down 13.5 rebounds-per-game, helping the Golden Eagles secure the No. 5 seed in the SUNYAC Playoffs. This is now Johnson's fourth straight double-double, and ninth this season. The Waterloo, N.Y. native scored her points with efficiency, shooting at a .455 clip, and now ranks second in the SUNYAC conference, shooting 47% from the field this season. She also helped on the defensive end, averaging 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per-game this week. Johnson has been a big impact for Brockport all year, as this is her fourth time receiving this award this season.
