CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has recognized Brockport senior Emily Nestler (Henrietta, N.Y.) as Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week.
Nestler had a standout performance for the Golden Eagles this past week. The Henrietta, N.Y. native put up 54 points in her last three appearances, averaging 18 points per game, 26 rebounds, six assists, five blocks, and a steal, while completing 18-of-23 attempts at the free throw line. In Brockport's game against D'Youville College Friday, she put up 28 of those 54 points alone. The senior has been a dual threat for the Green and Gold and has proven to be the offensive and defensive powerhouse in the paint that the team needs going forward.
