CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference has selected McKenna Brooks (Oswego, N.Y. / Oswego) as this week's Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week.
Brooks propelled the Knights to a pair of conference wins over the weekend averaging 23.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1.5 steals per game. In a win over Potsdam on Friday, Brooks scored 21 and pulled eight rebounds to go with three blocks, a steal and an assist. Against Plattsburgh, Brooks netted 26 points, tying a Geneseo program record by going 14-for-14 from the foul line, added 11 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks. She currently ranks eighth in the conference with 12.5 points per game and third in the league with 8.9 rebounds per game.
