CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has named Brockport's Emily Nestler (Henrietta, N.Y.) as this week's Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week.
Nestler's strong performance in last week's three SUNYAC matchups allowed the Golden Eagles to jump to number four in the SUNYAC standings after finishing the week 2-1. The senior put up a double-double in both wins against Buffalo State and Potsdam, in addition to posting the most points in the team's only loss to Plattsburgh where she put up 20 points, eight rebounds, and an assist. Her strongest performance came in Brockport's opening game of the week, where she demanded the floor, picking up 14 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists.
