CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) selects Dyamon Hunter (Bronx, N.Y.) of Potsdam as this season's first Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week recipient.
Hunter averaged 26.5 points-per-game on .489 shooting as she helped the Bears to the Championship game of the SUNY Canton Tournament. In Potsdam's season-opening 77-62 win against Cazenovia on Friday, she recorded 19 points and five steals. Hunter then scored a career-high 34 points in the title matchup against Coast Guard on Saturday and also totaled seven rebounds and five assists. She was named to the All-Tournament team.
