Q&A: Hannah Marafioti

CORTLAND, N.Y. - This week's State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Q&A is with the Women's Lacrosee Offensive Player of the Week, Geneseo's Hannah Marafioti (Fairport, N.Y.).

Marafioti led Geneseo to wins over two nationally-ranked teams last week. She scored a career-high 10 points on eight goals and two assists, including the overtime game-winning goal in Saturday's 19-18 comeback victory over No. 18 Cortland. Marafioti scored three of the Knights' last four goals and assisted the other as the Knights beat the Red Dragons for the first time since 2005 while handing the 20-time defending SUNYAC Champions only their second loss to a conference opponent in 90 games dating back to 2009. Marafioti also totaled three goals and an assist in Geneseo's 13-11 victory at No. 25 Brockport on Wednesday. She leads the SUNYAC with 74 points and is second with 54 goals.
