Brockport Takes Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected Brockport teammates Heather Conklin and Morgan Elmer for its women's lacrosse weekly awards. Conklin has been named the Offensive Athlete of the Week while Elmer is the Defensive Athlete of the Week for the third time this season.

Conklin led Brockport to a 3-0 week, extending the team's win streak to seven games. In three games Conklin scored 18 goals and had four assists to total 22 points for the week. She tied her career-high with seven goals against Geneseo, scored five more in a 23-2 win over Buffalo State, and then added six more against Oswego. She now leads the SUNYAC with 48 points and 39 goals as the Golden Eagles are soaring at 7-2 overall and 6-1 in conference play.

Elmer started and won all three games for Brockport in the cage, as the team has now won seven in a row. In a battle against the nationally ranked Geneseo Knights, Elmer tied her career-high of 17 saves to secure the win. She then added one save against Buffalo State and three more in the win over Oswego. Morgan continues to lead the SUNYAC with 79 total saves and a .581 save percentage.
