Piccoli and Ennis take home PrestoSports Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week.

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference's (SUNYAC) first 2019 PrestoSports Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week go to Domenica Piccoli (East Northport, N.Y.) from Geneseo and Julia Ennis (Carmel, N.Y) from Plattsburgh. Both players put together unmatched performances this week and earned the top offensive and defensive honors respectively.

Piccoli scored three goals as Geneseo started the season with a pair of victories last week. In Friday's season opener at Houghton, Piccoli scored the game-tying goal in the eighth minute and the eventual game-winner later in the first half as the Knights earned a 3-1 comeback victory. Piccoli also added a goal in Geneseo's 2-0 win over visiting Rochester on Sunday. In only two games this season, Piccoli has three goals on just eight shots with a shot-on-goal percentage of 50. 

Freshman goalkeeper Ennis made seven saves and limited Castleton University to one goal in Plattsburgh State's 2-1 season-opening victory on Friday evening at the Field House Complex in Plattsburgh, N.Y. Earning her first collegiate win, Ennis garnered an .875 save percentage and 1.00 goals against average in 90 minutes played. This game was Ennis' first collegiate win granting her a flawless career record of (1-0). With great play from Ennis, she secured herself the Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week.
