The SUNYAC selects Sullivan and Carillo as PrestoSports Athletes of the Week

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) selects Hannah Sullivan (Marlboro, N.Y.) and Taylor Carillo (Pine Bush, N.Y.) as this weeks PrestoSports Athletes of the Week. Sullivan through her play will take home the Offensive Athlete of the Week and Carillo earned the Defensive Athlete of the Week with her play in the net for Buffalo.

Sullivan tallied eight points in two games as she propelled the Knights to a pair of conference victories. Against Plattsburgh on Friday, Sullivan scored an insurance goal in the second half as Geneseo secured the 2-0 victory. Against Potsdam, Sullivan recorded her third multi-goal game of the season and added two assists to tie a career-high with six points as the Knights rolled, 5-0. Sullivan leads the conference with eight goals and 21 points, including three goals and two assists in four SUNYAC contests.

Carillo, the senior goalkeeper stopped 15 of the 16 shots she faced in a pair of road SUNYAC victories over the weekend. Carillo made 10 saves in a 1-0 overtime win at New Paltz on Friday, and in the process registered her 21st career shutout which eclipsed a 35-year-old school record. She then made five saves in a 2-1 victory at Oneonta on Saturday.
