CORTLAND, NY- The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has made selections for this week's top athletes in men's swimming and diving.  The winners were picked from nominations made by each conference member's athletic department.

Cortland's Caroline Tighe was selected as the Women's Diver of the Week.  The sophomore from East Meadow won both diving events in the Red Dragons' dual meet win at Buffalo St. In the 1-meter, she recorded a score of 215.80 (exhibition).  In the 3-meter Tighe had scored 215.15 points for a first-place finish. 

Riley Synan, a junior from Oswego, has been named Swimmer of the Week.  The Belchertown, Mass native picked up four wins to lead the Lakers to their fifth meet win on the season.  In the 200-yard medley relay, Synan swam a third leg to help her team finish with a time of (1:55.60). Individually, she won the 200-yard individual medley (2:22.24) and the 500 and 1,000- yard freestyles (5:35.57 and 11:26.23, respectively).
