CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected the top women's swimmer and diver of the week. The winners were selected from top nominations made by conference members.
Brooke Leddon, a senior at Brockport is this week's Diver of the Week. Leddon nabbed a first and second place finish in the one and three meter dive this past weekend at Buffalo State. She placed first in the one-meter dive with a score of 213.30 points and second in the three meter dive with a score of 204.35 points.
Noelle Staso, a freshmen at Geneseo is this week's Swimmer of the Week. Staso performed very well this past weekend, earning five first-place finishes. This included three individual events, as the Knights rolled to a 240-107 victory over local rival Rochester on Friday and Saturday. Staso placed first in the 100 Breast (1:07.98), 200 IM (2:14.33) and the 50 Free (25.10) and swam a leg on the winning 200 medley relay (1:50.08) and 400 medley relay (4:06.51) to pace the Knights.
