Angulas and Reichman recognized for top performances in women's swimming and diving this week

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference has picked Chelsea Angulas (Oswego, N.Y. Oswego Free Academy) of New Paltz and Samantha Reichman (Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y. / Cornwall Central) of Geneseo as the Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week respectively.

Angulas was a big part of the Hawks' third place finish at the TCNJ Invite over the weekend. She collected two individual first-place finishes in the 100 and 200-yard backstroke with times of 57.92 and 2:07.33, respectively, while also helping New Paltz to first-place finishes in the 200 freestyle relay (1:38.93) and 400 freestyle relay (3:36.95), along with second and third place standings in the 400 IM relay (4:01.37) and 200 medley relay (51.37).

As Geneseo faced NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III opponents at the Ithaca Winter Invitational, Reichman placed third in the 1-meter dive with an 11-dive score of 470.05, and then finished fourth in the 3-meter with a score of 408.30.
