Geneseo wins 2019 women's swimming and diving title

RESULTS

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Geneseo won its 12th straight and 27th overall State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) women's swimming and diving championship, Saturday night at the Burt Flickinger Center in Buffalo. Cortland finished second while Oswego was third.

Cortland's Julia Torell broke the meet and conference record in the 200 butterfly, 2:06.74


Individual Awards

Outstanding Diver of the Meet- Samantha Reichman, Geneseo
Oustanding Swimmer of the Meet- Deidra Osula, Geneseo
Grace Mowatt- Sydney Ng, Geneseo
Diving Coach of the Year- Shawn Austin, Geneseo
Swimming Coach of the Year- Paul Dotterweich, Geneseo


The conference honors the top three finishers in each event at the championship earning a spot on the SUNYAC first, second or third team all-conference. View the complete list here.


The SUNYAC Elite 20, an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers.  This year's women's swimming and diving honoree is Lok Chi Hon from Oswego.
