SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Geneseo's Lauren Sposili has been selected as the SUNYAC Women's Swimmer of the Week while Cortland's Ashley Zachgo was named the Diver of the Week for the second week in a row.
Sposili won four events against Nazareth on Saturday to help lift the Knights to a 168-123 victory. The senior won the 200 yard freestyle and 500 yard freestyle, with times of 1:59.30 and 5:20.09, respectively. She was also on the winning 400 yard medley relay team (4:04.53) and the 400 yard freestyle relay team (3:46.62)
Zachgo finished first in both diving events at the Cortland Pumpkin Relays to help the Red Dragons place first out of four schools in the team standings. She won the 1-meter diving event with 254.50 points, missing the NCAA regional qualifying standard by a half point, and she won the 3-meter board with 251.15 points.
