SUNYAC selects Singles and Doubles Tennis Athletes of the Week
Cortland N.Y.-  The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected the singles and doubles athletes of the week. The singles athlete of the week is Oneonta's Alyssa Brault, a junior mass communication major from Rochester, N.Y. The Doubles Team of the Week are the pair of freshmen from Cortland: Isabella Arrigo and Tina Wertman.

Brault put together a great week as she went undefeated at first singles for Oneonta, leading the team to a 3-0 week. The highlight victory of the week included a straight set victory vs. Geneseo to help the Red Dragons snap the Knights' 40-match win streak against SUNYAC opponents. Brault also had two other wins last week in straight sets against St. Joseph's College and Farmingdale. Brault is currently 5-0 this fall.

Arrigo the freshman from Sauquoit, N.Y, and Wertman, also a freshman from Rochester, NY, combined to win both of their doubles matches during this week's action. The pair won 8-4 at third doubles Wednesday against RIT, then moved up a spot to second doubles on Friday at St. John Fisher to help the team win 8-3. Arrigo and Wertman are 6-2 in doubles play this season.
