BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - New Paltz and Geneseo will face off in the SUNYAC women's tennis championship final, 10 a.m. Monday at the Binghamton Tennis Center.
The Hawks topped Cortland, 5-0 in the first semifinal, (Box Score) Saturday, October 15, while the Knights beat Oneonta (Box Score), 5-2, in the second semifinal. Cortland ends its season with a 7-6 overall record and Oneonta finishes 11-2.
New Paltz looks to win its fifth overall SUNYAC women's tennis championship crown and first since 2010. Geneseo will play to defend the conference crown for the seventh straight year. The Knights have won 11 SUNYAC championships overall.
The winner of Monday's final will earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament which will take place in the spring.
