CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected its weekly awards for women's tennis. New Paltz freshman Trinity Chow is the Singles Athlete of the Week, while Oneonta's Mya Lipscomb and Olivia Fraser are the Doubles Team of the Week.
Chow did not drop a set in 6-0, 6-0 first singles victories over Fredonia's Anna Chiacchia and Brockport's Autumne Venturino. She also beat Geneseo's Olga Shvetsova, 6-1, 6-0 to help the Hawks clinch a No. 1 seed and an undefeated regular season record.
Meanwhile, Lipscomb and Fraser recorded three wins this past weekend in doubles against Fredonia, Geneseo and Brockport. All three victories helped Oneonta earn the No. 2 seed for the upcoming conference tournament. Lipscomb and Fraser defeated the tandem from Fredonia, 8-4, posted an 8-2 win against Brockport and completed the weekend with an 8-6 win versus Geneseo.
