CORTLAND, N.Y. - New Paltz was picked No. 1 in the East division while Geneseo tops the West division in the 2021 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) women's tennis preseason poll voted on by the conference coaches.
SUNYAC women's tennis conference competition will start April 15. Typically the SUNYAC conducts a seven-match, full round-robin regular season schedule; however, to limit travel the conference has split into East/West divisions for 2021.
In 2019 New Paltz finished the regular season No. 1 and won its second-straight SUNYAC title and sixth overall. Last year Geneseo ended the regular season as the No. 3 seed and finished the SUNYAC tournament third. The Knights will look to capture their 12th overall conference crown and first since 2017.
