SUNYAC Announces Women's Indoor Track and Field Weekly Awards

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected Cortland's Taylor Hunter (Buffalo, N.Y. / Tapestry Charter) and Plattsburgh's Brianna Coon (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Plattsburgh) as its Track and Field Athletes of the Week respectively.

Hunter won two individual events and led off a winning relay in Cortland's dual-meet loss at Ithaca College. Her winning time of 27.02 seconds in the 200-meter dash currently ranks second in the SUNYAC and her winning time of 8.03 seconds in the 60-meter dash ranks third in the conference. Taylor ran the leadoff leg of the winning 4x200-meter relay that finished in 1:47.52 and ranks first in the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference by more than three seconds.

Brianna Coon took first in both shot put (38' 4 ¾") and weight throw (48' 7 ¼") at the St. Lawrence Dual Duel In Newell on Saturday. Coon is currently second in shot put and third in weight throw in the SUNYAC
