SUNYAC Selects PrestoSports Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announces the PrestoSports Women's Indoor Track and Field weekly awards. Cortland's Taylor Hunter (Buffalo, N.Y.) has been named the PrestoSports Track Athlete of the Week and Oswego's Sarah Yensan (Lockport, N.Y.) has been named the PrestoSports Field Athlete of the Week.

Hunter broke the school record in the 200-meter dash at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational. She finished 55th out of 301 competitors, and was the third-best Division III finisher, with a time of 25.35 seconds that is tied for 10th nationally and is first in the SUNYAC.

Yensan continues to score wins in the women's long jump with a first-place finish at the RIT Midseason Meet on Friday. The senior hit a mark of 5.69 meters (18'8") and still remains among the top-five performers nationally with her leap of 5.80 meters on February 7 at Brockport.
