SUNYAC names Cortland's Hunter and Brockport's Craven as Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week
CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Sate University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) names Cortland's Taylor Hunter and Brockport's Jessica Craven as Women's Track and Field athletes of the week.
 
Cortland freshman Taylor Hunter (Buffalo, N.Y.) has been selected as the SUNYAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week. Hunter finished third out of 120 competitors in the 200 meter dash at the Widener University Danny Curran Invitational. Her time of 25.63 seconds ranks her third in the AARTFC and 17th nationally in Division III as of Sunday night. She also finished fourth of 83 in the 100 meter dash in 12.77 seconds. Hunter helped Cortland finish fourth out of 29 schools in the final team standings. 
 
Brockport's Jessica Craven (Waterford, N.Y.) has been selected as SUNYAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week. The senior posted a second-place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 46.95 meters, a first-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 12.67 meters as well as in the discus throw with a mark of 43.20 meters.
