Cortland Athletes Take Weekly Women's Track and Field Awards

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) selects Cortland athletes for Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week. Senior, Maya Campbell (Valley Stream, N.Y.) has been selected at Track Athlete of the week, while her teammate, freshman, Molly Baker (Newark Valley, N.Y.) was selected for Field Athlete of the Week. 

Baker finished seventh out of 27 in the high jump at Shippensburg's Paul Kaiser Classic. Her personal-best height of 1.58 meters (5' 2.25") currently ranks 11th in the AARTFC and is tied for second in the SUNYAC.

Campbell finished first out of 44 competitors in the 100-meter hurdles at Shippensburg's Paul Kaiser Classic. Her time of 14.83 seconds ranks sixth regionally and 33rd nationally. Campbell also ran a leg on Cortland's 4x100-meter relay that finished third in 48.29 seconds and currently ranks first in the SUNYAC, third regionally and 21st nationally. Campbell is currently tied for first in the SUNYAC in the 100-meter dash from a performance earlier in the season.
