Culeton, Ayzenberg recognized as Women's Volleyball Athletes of the Week

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference has selected its weekly awards for women's volleyball. Oneonta sophomore Clara Culeton, of Oswego, N.Y., is  the Offensive Athlete of the Week. Meanwhile, Geneseo sophomore Gabrielle Ayzenberg, of Long Island, N.Y., is the Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Culeton helped pace Oneonta to a 3-0 record this past week with wins over Hartwick, Elmira and Baruch. Culeton finished the week with a .479 hitting percentage with 27 kills. Clara also had a pair of service aces and seven blocks as the Red Dragons finished their season with a record of 14-17. 

Ayzenberg averaged 6.00 digs/set in the Knights' three matches at the Frostburg Quad-Match last week. She compiled a career-high 38 digs in Geneseo's five-set loss to Clarkson on Friday, before totaling 23 digs in a 3-0 sweep of the host Bobcats and 17 digs in the 3-2 setback to Salisbury on Saturday.
