CORTLAND, N.Y. - Potsdam's Nicole Hansen is highlighted in this week's State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Volleyball Senior Spotlight.
Hansen amassed 540 kills, 96 service aces, 398 digs and 41 blocks in three seasons. She played in 85 of the Bears 88 games during her career. As a sophomore she led Potsdam in kills (284) and kills-per-set (2.49) and was second in service aces (44), while finishing seventh, ninth and 11th in the respective categories. Hansen was also a standout on the Bears women's basketball team for two seasons. The Fulton, N.Y. native is majoring in writing and literature and secondary education and was honored on the SUNYAC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll the last three years.
