CORTLAND, N.Y. - This week's State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Volleyball Senior Spotlight recognizes Fredonia's Emma Booth.
A native of Hamburg, N.Y. Booth led the Blue Devils with 285 kills in 2019 while appearing in all 30 matches as an outside hitter. Among SUNYAC leaders, she was 10th in total digs and eighth in digs per set and earned a place on the 2019 Cortland Classic All-Tournament Team -- and was selected Fredonia State Blue Devil of the Week -- after collecting a team-high 39 kills and 31 digs in four matches. Emma was also at the top of her game in a 3-2 win over St. Lawrence with 13 kills and a .333 hitting percentage. She is a dual major -- math and math education -- who has earned a President's Award, the Dr. Nancy Boynton Award, and awards for excellence in science and math. She serves as the social chair of the Fredonia Math Club.
