The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has named DeAnna Aortiz-Whittemore (Niskayuna, N.Y.) this week's Volleyball Athlete of the Week.

Ortiz-Whittemore finished the week racking up 53 kills on a .250 hitting percentage, nine digs, four blocks, and one ace through four games. She had a team-high 19 kills in a 3-2 lose over Vassar College. She had her best game against RIT, when she led the Golden Eagles to a 3-1 win with 14 kills on a .444 hitting percentage, four digs, and a block.
