CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected its winner for women's cross country athlete of the week. Elise Ramirez of Geneseo has won the award for the second straight week.

Ramirez, a junior from Nesconset, turned in an outstanding performance at the Mike Woods Invitaitonal in Geneseo, NY.  With a time of 21:32.7, she finished second out of 197 competitors and led the Knights to a second place finish out of fifteen teams overall. The field included several SUNYAC rivals, such as Oneonta, Brockport, and Fredonia. 

Geneseo came into the week ranked number four in the nation and looks to improve their standing after this performance.
