CORTLAND, N.Y. - Elise Ramirez is honored with her second State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week award of the 2018 season.
Ramirez finished fifth out of 345 runners to lead Geneseo to second place at the Inter-Regional Border Battle, hosted by Rowan, on Saturday. She covered the 6k course in 21:25.4 to finish less than 20 seconds behind the top finisher. Entering the meet ranked third nationally, Geneseo finished runner-up to top-ranked Johns Hopkins, while defeating seven other nationally-ranked squads in the 39-team field.
