CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Cross Country Senior Spotlight is on Cortland's Sam Himes this week.
An inclusive childhood education major from Amherst, N.Y., Himes plans on finishing her education this fall, so the 2020 cross country season would have been her final chance to compete. She was All-Atlantic Region (33rd place) and All-SUNYAC (6th place) as a junior in 2019. This was an improvement from her sophomore performances finishing 105th place regionally and 23rd place in SUNYAC. Himes finished 28th in SUNYAC and 55th in region as a freshman in 2017.
