SUNYAC Releases Women's Cross Country All-Decade Honors

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announces its Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Decade, Coach of the Decade and All-Decade Team as nominated and voted on by the institution's sports information directors.

To be eligible for the All-Decade Team, athletes must have competed in the SUNYAC at least one season during the 2009-10 academic year through 2019-20 and athletes must have been named to the All-SUNYAC team more than once or named Athlete of the Year once. Athlete and Coach of the Decade recipients were previously named SUNYAC Athlete of the Year or Coach of the Year. 

SUNYAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Decade – Genny Corcoran, Geneseo

Corcoran was a three-time All SUNYAC honoree, a three-time All-Region selection and a two-time All-American. She was the SUNYAC champion in 2019 running the 6K course in 22:08.8. She was also the conference runner-up in 2018 (24:04.0) and was eighth in 2017 (23:20.3). Corcoran was the 2019 national runner-up (Highest individual finish in Geneseo program history). She finished second in the Atlantic Regional in 2019 and third in 2018.

SUNYAC Women's Cross Country Coach of the Decade – Dan Moore, Geneseo

Moore is in his sixth season as head coach at Geneseo. He is a four-time Women's Cross Country SUNYAC Coach of the Year (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018) and five-time Women's Cross Country Atlantic Region Coach of the Year (2015-2019). He led his team to five SUNYAC championships (2015-2019), five women's Atlantic Regional championships (2015-2019) and five-consecutive top-10 finishes at NCAA championships (National runner-up in 2015). Moore coached five women's individual SUNYAC champions, one individual women's regional champion and five women's All-Americans.
